Youth Volleyball & Cheerleading Assistant Coach

The Sun Prairie YMCA is seeking an enthusiastic and dependable individual to serve as an Assistant Coach for our Youth Volleyball and Cheerleading programs. Assistant Coaches play an important role in helping create a fun, safe, and positive experience for participants while supporting the Lead Coach throughout the season.

Responsibilities:
• Assist the Lead Coach during practices and program activities
• Help teach basic volleyball and cheerleading skills
• Encourage participation, effort, and sportsmanship
• Assist with drills, activities, and small groups
• Help manage equipment setup and cleanup
• Support participant engagement and behavior management
• Ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all participants
• Serve as a positive role model for youth athletes

Qualifications:
• Experience playing, coaching, or participating in volleyball and/or cheerleading preferred but not required
• Enjoy working with children and helping them learn
• Positive attitude and strong communication skills
• Dependable, professional, and punctual
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
• Must pass YMCA required background screening

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about youth development, enjoy working with children, and want to help create a high-quality sports experience for participants and families.

Hours: Part-Time | Evening & Weekend Hours Available

Hours can range between 3-8, weekdays or Saturday mornings from 8-1.

Salary: $15 - $18/hour
